Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Lake Murray Task Company LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a local service business based in Chapin, SC. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of our services, including home organization, errand running, non-medical senior support, move-in/move-out coordination, pet care errands, tech assistance, home checks, event setup/breakdown, administrative assistance, virtual administrative support, and social media coaching ("Services"). By engaging our Services, you ("Client," "you") agree to these Terms.

2. Services

We provide personalized Services designed to save you time, delivered with Southern hospitality and complete privacy. Services are tailored to your needs. Specific details, including scope and pricing, will be outlined in a separate Service Agreement provided before each engagement.

3. Booking and Payment

Booking: Services are scheduled via phone, email. A confirmation will be sent detailing the Service, date, time, and estimated cost.

 

Payment: Fees are due upon completion of Services unless otherwise agreed. We accept payments via Square (credit/debit) or bank transfer. Invoices are issued digitally for sustainability. Late payments may incur a 5% fee after 7 days.

 

Cancellations: Cancellations require 48 hours’ notice; less notice may incur a $25 fee. No-shows are charged 50% of the estimated Service cost.

4. Client Responsibilities

Provide accurate information about Service needs and access to relevant spaces (e.g., home, devices).

 

Ensure safe working conditions (e.g., no hazardous materials or heavy lifting requirements).

 

Notify us of cancellations or changes promptly.

5. Privacy and Confidentiality

We prioritize your privacy. All personal information and Service details are handled discreetly, stored securely, and never shared without your consent, except as required by law. For Services involving home access (e.g., home checks, pet care), we maintain strict confidentiality and use bonded personnel when applicable.

6. Liability and Insurance

We carry general liability insurance and an auto insurance rider for business-related activities. Bonding is available.

 

We are not liable for damages caused by pre-existing conditions, client negligence, or third-party actions.

 

Clients assume responsibility for securing valuables during Services.

7. Service Limitations

Services do not include medical care, heavy furniture moving, or hazardous tasks.

 

We reserve the right to refuse or modify Services if conditions are unsafe or outside our scope.

8. Sustainability Commitment

We use eco-friendly practices, including fuel-efficient routing, digital receipts, and partnerships with local charities for decluttering donations, to minimize environmental impact.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate a Service Agreement with written notice. We reserve the right to terminate Services for non-payment, unsafe conditions, or violation of these Terms.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be handled through mediation in Chapin, SC, before legal action. These Terms are governed by South Carolina law.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Clients will be notified of changes via email or our website, effective upon posting.
